Player guide
Tournament Rules
Casual, walkable, and weird. Play hard, putt creatively, tip your hosts.
Format
- 9 holes. Each hole is hosted by a Broadway business. Par is set per hole and shown on your scorecard.
- Teams of up to 4. First player creates the team and shares a 6-character join code; teammates enter the code (or open a shareable invite link) when they sign up.
- Shotgun start. Teams begin at different holes and rotate. Play any hole in any order — the app will track which you've completed.
Scoring
- Each player records their own strokes per hole on the app.
- Team score per hole = the best stroke count among teammates on that hole (best-ball).
- Lowest total team score wins. Ties broken by holes-thru, then a putt-off at the awards location.
The "clubless" part
- No actual golf clubs. Each hole's host provides the "tool" — hockey stick, broom, chopsticks, pool cue, etc.
- Tools stay at the hole. Be kind to the equipment.
- If a tool breaks during play, flag a volunteer — the hole pauses until it's replaced.
Mulligans
- Each team gets 4 mulligans for the round.
- Tap "Use mulligan" in the app before recording a stroke; the bad stroke does not count.
- One mulligan max per hole. No mulligans on the final putt.
Etiquette
- Respect host businesses — buy something, tip well, leave the space cleaner than you found it.
- Crosswalks only. We're playing on a working downtown street.
- Photos are welcome — post them to the Clubhouse feed in the app.
- Of-age players who choose to drink: pace yourselves and have a designated driver.
What to bring
- A charged phone (the scorecard, leaderboard, and feed all live in the app).
- Comfortable shoes. The course is roughly a half-mile loop.
- Cash for raffle tickets and host tips.
- A sense of humor.
